What Airffic Car is

The cost of running a car is split across fuel, servicing, inspection, and insurance, and few people know the total. Airffic Car records those four things per car and works out fuel economy and monthly cost. Enter the odometer and the amount at each fill-up and the next fill-up gives you km per liter, using the full-tank method.

For inspection and insurance, enter the date done and the next due date and the app shows days remaining. It sends no notifications (a candidate for later); open it and you know. Service entries such as oil, tires, and battery are kept with mileage, so next time you know when you last changed them.

Several cars are kept apart. Records stay in this browser without signing in, and open on other devices once you do. For company car expenses there is Airffic Expense; for assigning company vehicles, Airffic Dispatch.

Questions

How is fuel economy calculated?
Full-tank method: the odometer difference between this fill-up and the last, divided by this fill-up’s volume. Partial fills and fill-ups without an odometer reading will not give a reliable figure.
Will it remind me when the inspection is due?
No. Open it and the days remaining are shown. Notifications are a candidate for later.
Can it connect to the car’s OBD port or another app?
No. You enter records by hand.
Can I claim company car expenses with it?
You can record them, but prepare the expense claim in Airffic Expense.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Without signing in, records stay in this browser.
