What Airffic Clock is

Every international meeting starts with the same sums: what time is it there now, and what is 10 a.m. Japan time for them? Airffic Clock lines up the current time in the cities you choose, and when you pick one Japan time, shows what it is in each city. Times that fall in someone’s early morning or late night are marked in orange.

Times come from your device clock and the time zone data built into your browser (IANA time zones), which includes daylight saving time. Nothing is fetched from outside. Your list of cities is remembered on this device and never sent to a server.

The picker offers around 40 cities. Cities not in the list are a candidate for later.

How to use it

  1. 1See nowThe current time in each city you chose. A different date shows as "next day" or "previous day". Night hours are dimmed.
  2. 2Plan a meetingPick a Japan date and time and each city’s local time appears. Orange means before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m.
  3. 3Add citiesUnder Cities, add from the list. Reorder and remove here too.

Questions

Does it account for daylight saving time?
Yes. It is included in the browser’s time zone data.
Can I add a city that is not in the list?
Not yet. Entering an arbitrary time zone is a candidate for later.
How are working hours defined?
As a guide, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; anything outside is orange. Countries and companies differ, so treat it as a guide.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Your city list is stored on this device only.
