What Airffic Convert is

Tsubo to square meters, inches to centimeters, pounds to kilograms. Unit conversions are too small to bother searching for and too easy to get wrong. Airffic Convert is two boxes: type on either side and the other side changes. Length, weight, area, and temperature, with conversions to the other units listed underneath.

For area, one tsubo is 400/121 square meters (the conversion under Japan’s Measurement Act), and one tatami mat is taken as 1.62 square meters (the Chukyo-size mat, as a guide). Mat sizes vary by region, so treat that one as approximate. One shaku is 10/33 meters.

Currency uses a rate you enter yourself. The app never fetches exchange rates. Enter the rate from your bank or card statement and convert both ways at that rate. The rate is remembered on this device. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Questions

Can it fetch exchange rates automatically?
No. You enter the rate yourself. Holding the source of the number is what makes it trustworthy.
Are the tsubo and tatami conversions exact?
Tsubo follows the Measurement Act (400/121 m²). Tatami varies by region, so 1.62 m² (Chukyo size) is used as a guide.
A unit I need is missing.
The main units for length, weight, area, and temperature are covered. Speed, volume, and pressure are candidates for later.
Do I need to sign in?
No.
