What Airffic Meishi is

A business card you do not digitize the day you receive it is one you will never find again. Photograph a card with Airffic Meishi (meishi is Japanese for business card) and AI reads the name, company, title, email, phone, address and website; check, save, and it is in your contact list. Add a note on when, where and what you talked about, and later you can search by words like "repair" or "briefing".

Entering by hand uses the same screen. From the list you can email or call directly. The card image is sent only to be read and is not stored; only the extracted text remains.

There is no sync with your phone's contacts, no CRM integration and no sharing back to the other person. Reading is done by Anthropic's Claude. Sign in and the records stay in your account on the same foundation as your other Airffic records. The app itself is currently in Japanese; an English interface is on the roadmap.

How to use it

  2. 2Check and saveFix any misreads, add one line about where you met and what you discussed. "Save".
  3. 3SearchBy name, company or words in the note. Email and phone are tappable.

Questions

Are card images stored?
No. They are sent only to be read; what remains is the extracted text.
How accurate is the reading?
Standard horizontal cards read well. Vertical layouts, heavily designed cards and mixed English and Japanese can be misread, so check before saving.
Can I add them to my phone's contacts?
Not yet. Email and phone can be used directly from the list. Export to contacts is a future candidate.
Do I need to sign in?
Entering by hand and saving works without signing in, with records kept on this device. The AI reading requires sign-in.
